With the Garmin Nuvi Navigation device, your expectations of innovation along with tradition will be met. Tradition is the reliability of the Garmin electronic product. We expect innovative engineering as well as a new design style in the new Navigation device model. To account for the the very slimmed down all new device profile, we offer some explanations.

The myTrends feature on the new Garmin is very popular because it gives users the opportunity to add a little personal touch to their Navigation device experience. One thing you can do is store the route you take daily, to and from work. Want to compare different routes to work? You can do that too. But why would you even need to use this feature for places you're familiar with? If you decide this isn't something that you want to make use of, you can simply turn it off. But if you're interested in learning fast detours in times of need this is a great feature to have available. While it may not be for everyone, people in need of frequent rescue from traffic jam nightmares find that myTrends can be very useful.

A new feature we have noticed is the capacitive glass variety of touchscreen where you can use a pinching action to zoom in either direction. Android or iPhone users might find that the Nuvi 3790T multi-touch function is not as good as their phones. While the effect might not seem as smooth and seamless, it does not detract from the manner of operation or effect. A minor flaw is the lack of light sensors that adjust the light in ambient lighting conditions. That issue is easily compensated for with the high quality screen display. To keep the size smaller, sometimes concessions have to be made on other things. While we don't know if this happened with the Nuvi 3790T, it could be a possibility. Case in point, we have noticed that this unit doesn't seem to perform as fast as other Garmin Navigation device units. For example, the signal capture times does seem a little slower than other units from the company. Certainly we realize that there are other external factors that could cause this. However, it wasn't just tested only one time at one location. One thing to think about is it was noticed that rather than the local secondary routes, the route algorithm seemed be taking cues from primary travel routes. When driving the main roads only, it can take longer, so that effect is used to add more time.

Advanced speech recognition is a feature of this Navigation device because these days consumers are demanding voice activation and control.

Reports of outperforming other Garmin Navigation device in processing and voice recognition have been accredited to the 3790T. Some reports on minor decreases in the performance in other areas of speech recognition have come in too. There can be a lot of reasons that people differ in their opinion, the top one being attributed to individual preferences.

Certainly, there are plenty of ways to use your GPS unit. The most used way is in your car. And one of the most popular automobiles just lately continues to be the Kia Rio. If you want to drive a Kia Rio, talk with your neighborhood vehicle dealer.
