As indicated by the name on the box, the Rii is a mini keyboard. Of course, I'm talking about the size in comparison to a regular keyboard - and it's much smaller. Nearly all typical keyboard are roughly 18 inches by 2 inches by 8 inches, however this keyboard is only 5.9x2.3x0.5 inches and weighs in at a mere 3.2 ounces. A person who puts a high value on portability will discover the tiny size and lightness of the Rii a delight, being so convenient to carry around. As it's so small, the Rii fits well between your hands for a comfortable typing experience.

You are able to use this mini keyboard with gaming systems like PS3 or wiki, and with desktop computers and laptops. As this mini keyboard utilizes a Bluetooth wireless USB receiver for wireless connectivity, you don't need to mess around with any wires, and many devices are wireless today, making it simple to hook up this keyboard to your electronics. It features a full QWERTY keyboard and it likewise has a touchpad, which is similar to those on laptops. In case the area is dimly lit, the unit comes equipped with 26 LED lights. The power supply comprises of two rechargeable lithium ion batteries, which come with the unit.

On Amazon, this device has received plenty of reviews, most of them giving this product 4 and 5 stars. Nonetheless, as suggested by a quantity of 1,2 and 3 star votes, the unit may initally appear terrific but prove to be less so over time. One user observed that the mini keyboard connected to his Ubuntu system without any troubles and worked reasonably well within a 30ft range, but any further than that and it stopped working right. Nonetheless, thirty feet is quite adequate. Both playlist and volume button controls are present on the Rii, which is great if the planned use is multimedia in character. Buttons that aren't typically used are on the Rii, which is superb as they are sometimes needed so it would be an inconvenience if they weren't there.

Of Course, this review would be incomplete if it did not note the downsides. What is a bit of an inconvenience now and again is that the touchpad is not as exact as we are used to with typical laptop touchpads. The touchpad also has issues with recognizing taps; however, there are two mouse buttons, left and right, which can be used alternatively. It should also be worth bringing up that the keys are directly underneath each other, and not 50% offset as we are used to with the bigger keyboards. Although it takes time to get used to it, it is not a big deal.

The Rii is a good device for people in the market for a small keyboard with a touch pad. On balance, the upsides significantly dwarf the few bad points, and the price is awesome.
