Many individuals are wary of how their right to privacy is seemingly being
ignored as technologically society is advancing and using previous
unimagined methods to gain new information. In the past, only those in
certain authoritative positions would have had the means and technology
necessary to locate an individual via their cell phone. However today
laymen can easily obtain the means of establishing where someone may be
just by having their cell phone number available

It has become increasingly evident that there are those opposed and those
for these particular measures. For some, privacy is being violated,
however it should be noted that these advances in technology can be
beneficial to humankind if used in a manner that is viable.

There are countless examples that could be given, whereby it would be of great benefit to use such technology. For instance, if someone is lost, they would be traceable through their cell phone. Or perhaps you own a business and have to keep tabs on where your employee is.

Additionally if you own a business you can use this service to track your
employee, for instance if you own a fleet of trucks and would like to know
the location of the truck driver.

The question that arises though is whether these methods of locating
someone is for the right motives or is locating people a form of nosiness
that can ultimately be harmful to the person.

Cell phone tower triangulation can be used to track someone with a cell
phone through a satellite dish.

If you are lost you can convey your whereabouts by giving the data that is shown on your cell phone which the GPS positioning system will provide.

In conclusion, there are evidently the positive and negative aspects that
such a service offers. Yes, it could be conceived as being an 'invasion
of privacy' however if you have a family member that has gone missing,
wouldn't it give you peace of mind to know that they could perhaps be
found by 'cell phone locating'?
